  • What time is check-in/check-out?

    You may arrive anytime between 4pm and 11pm. Feel free to reach out if you are going to be past 11pm and we will try our best to accomadate. Check-out is prompty at 10am. Our limited cleaning staff have mulitiple retreats to turnover before the next guests arrive and your timely departure is greatly appreciated. At this time, we do not allow late check-outs.

  • How or where do I check-in?

    We have a self check-in process! Feel free to add your check-in time to your reservation or shoot us a message. Each retreat has a smart lock system. Shortly before your stay you will recieve a code for accessing your retreat. You can access your retreat immediatly without checking into an office!

  • Did HPR use to have a different booking site?

    Yes, we had our own booking site through our website and also booked through Airbnb. We are currently moving forward with bookings through Airbnb, VRBO and Expedia. Get signed up if you do not have an Airbnb or VRBO account already. See you soon!

  • How do I create an Airbnb or VRBO account?

    To create an Airbnb account, you can either visit www.airbnb.com or click on any of the Airbnb links on our retreat pages or 'Click to Book On Airbnb' button on the top of the home page. Sign up for an account by following the directions on airbnb.


    To create a VRBO account, you can either visit www.vrbo.com or click on any of the VRBO links on our retreats pages. Sign up for an account by following the directions on vrbo.

  • How do I find out pricing/rate information?

    Link to each retreats Airbnb, VRBO or Expedia  listing through our website and select the dates you are thinking about booking. Nightly rates will be calculated based on the dates you select. Change your dates and view the updated nightly rates based on your selection.


    The great thing about Airbnb and VRBO is that we can adjust nightly rates regularily and apply promotions more readily for our  guests!

  • I need to cancel or reschedule my reservation. What do I do?

    We understand! Reach out  to us on airbnb or by email. All rescheduling and cancellations are managed through airbnb, so head there first and shoot us an airbnb message. Email us if you need any further information.

  • Do you allow pets?

    We allow up to two well behaved and trained dogs in our Bunker Hill, Pine Knob, Moss Hill, Krueger and Pettinger retreats. We unfortunately do not allow any other type of pets. We do kindly ask that let us know about your dog(s) and you bring items such as dog crates, beds and blankets for your stay to ensure our furniture is protected during your stay. We greatly appreciate every effort to clean up after your dog(s) including any waste and hair.  Each retreat is stocked with cleaning items and a vacuum. Our small cleaning staff has a lot to do after your stay with your furry friend. 

  • I love to plan! What do I bring?

    Your personal toiletries and some groceries is really all you need, unless you are bringing your furry friend. We supply almost everything including typical kitchen utensils and supplies, bedding, towels, blankets, pillows, all-in-one shampoo and body wash, select coffees and teas, etc... Feel free to reach out if you are wondering about something specific!

  • Do you host weddings and other events?

    Not at this time, but maybe again in the future (fingers crossed)!

  • How are the roads during the winter?

    Don't worry about the snow! The roads leading to the retreats are regularly plowed and we have our very own High Point Retreats snow removal crew!

  • Is the fireplace in the retreat wood burning?

    No. Each firepace is for heating using gas and ambience purposes only. 

  • Which retreats have outdoor fire pits?

    All our retreats EXCEPT our Pine Knob retreat have a firepit. We do have a community firepit as well that can be used by any guest(s).

  • Do you supply firewood?

    Yes! We have our own firewood onsite. If your retreat runs out of firewood, extra firewood is stored between Moss Hill and Pettinger retreat. 

  • Do you sell your handcrafted mugs online or ship them?

    At this time, we do not sell our mugs online or ship them. They are availabe for purchase during your stay or for pickup only. Send us a message through airbnb or email if you would like to purchase during your stay.

  • I have to work while I'm there. How good is the wifi?

    The wifi is through Verizon and for the most part is reliable for work to be done while on your getaway. Typical speed is around 13-23 Mbps. Since the property is secluded in nature, for better streaming and video calling you may prefer to limit device connections. 

  • Do you allow tents/camping on the property?

    No. We are not a campsite, but love to camp!

  • How far out can I reserve a retreat?

    We are currently accepting reservations up to 12 months in advance.

  • Does High Point Retreats supply a grill?

    No, we do not supply grills. Feel free to bring your own portable grill. All we ask is that the grill is not used on the back lookout patio. Thank you kindly!

  • Do you have hiking trails on the property?

    Yes! We have a 20+ acre property with trails. Bring your good walking/hiking shoes and check out our 'Explore' page for more detail and trail map. During the gun deer season in November, we ask that you bring bright clothing as our property is surrounded by other private property. 

  • Do you sell gift cards/vouchers?

    Airbnb gift cards/vouchers can be purchased directly through airbnb. We do not personally sell gift cards/vouchers, at this time.

  • I have a voucher/gift card for your old booking system, how do I use it?

    Let us know what voucher/gift card you have! Reach out to us via email or airbnb messaging. A picture of the voucher is appreciated. We will try our best to honor the voucher/gift card through airbnb. All vouchers/gift cards purchased through our old booking system must be used by 12/31/2023.
